Meet Author M.H. Clark

A recipient of the Washington State Book Award and two Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards, M.H. Clark has a poignant way of illuminating heartfelt truths through her poetry and prose. Her collection touches on a variety of topics, from honoring our emotions and easing anxiety to celebrating superpowers and recognizing our beautiful complexities. Whether you’re looking for a picture book to read with a little one or a guided journal to connect to your own thoughts, Clark’s works are sure to offer new perspective and illuminate what is common to all of us.

A native New Englander, Clark has traveled the world and lived in many places but believes she belongs most of all in a little house with a large library, someplace where the forest meets the sea. When she is not reading and writing, you’ll find her exploring nature with her dog, cooking for loved ones, cold-water swimming, enjoying art, and engaging in social justice work.
