With all the things we juggle on a daily basis, finding time for date night can be challenging. But it’s worth the effort. Setting aside even just a few hours can help couples nurture their emotional connection and create meaningful memories they can enjoy for years to come.

The great news is, there are so many ways to spend quality time together over date night. And it doesn’t need to be at night! A shared lunch squeezed into the workday or a simple picnic on a Sunday afternoon can do wonders for keeping the flame going.

We’ve put together a few ideas, inspired by our date-night activity card set Sweet Memories and our other couples’ gifts, to help take the stress out of planning. Whether you’re looking for a way to get out on the town or a comfy night in, we hope these ideas help you celebrate your person and the special bond you share.

  3. Play tourist in your hometown
No matter how long you have lived in a place, there’s always something to discover. Eat at a restaurant you’ve never been to, explore a museum you’ve been meaning to go to, or take a walk through a neighborhood you don’t normally visit. It will be a day of experiencing your home, and each other, with fresh eyes.
  4. Volunteer for a good cause
Celebrate your love while giving back to causes you love. Let your partner choose the organization for one date, then you can choose for the next. Or set a standing time to contribute to a cause you’re both passionate about. Volunteering together is sure to stir good feelings that will grow throughout the week.
